Maybe. Since the age of nine she's appeared in various TV commercials, Disney films and television shows.

Not quite, although she has been working with Miley's creative team and producers (and Cassadee Pope, who won The Voice USA's third season).

It's essentially your typical American teen-pop song with a bound-about singalong chorus, but it's been done pretty well as evidenced by her latest single 'Karma's Not Pretty'.
