Joe Cornish has signed on to direct the upcoming spy thriller Section 6, it has been announced.
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Universal has chosen Cornish to helm the project, which initially had David MacKenzie and Tom Hooper in the running.

Produced by Marc Platt Productions and Grey Matter Productions, the film will chronicle the origins of the famous British intelligence agency MI6.

Jack O'Connell is set to star
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Universal has chosen Cornish to helm the project, which initially had David MacKenzie and Tom Hooper in the running.
Former Skins star Jack O'Connell has already signed on to star in the film.
Cornish is best known for directing the sci-fi comedy Attack the Block.
He also penned Tintin with Edgar Wright, and most recently wrote the script for Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man .
