So on the go home show ahead of the sixth annual Hell in a Cell pay per view (and the 29th and 30th Hell in a Cell matches), it was only right that Mick Foley made an appearance.
WWE Hell in a Cell: 5 best-ever bouts
Hall of Famer Mick has been on good terms with the WWE despite not renewing his Legends contract, and it's wonderful to see that he's still able to pop in when he's needed.
"Excuse me if you will, but I just came by to visit an old friend," said Mick, motioning to Old Cell-ar.
"And to congratulate you both of you for fulfilling your destinies. I remember in December 2012, the Foley children coming back from the Barclays Center after seeing The Shield in action for the first time and they were raving about you.
"My daughter said, 'Dad, The Shield is amazing'. So I set that bar of expectation very high the next night on Raw, because although I do not grace your screens very often, I'm watching Raw every night.
Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins confirmed for WWE Hell in a Cell 2014
"I'm watching Smackdown every Friday, I even subscribe to the Network for an undisclosed monthly sum."
He continued: "I visualised the day when you, Seth Rollins, would go face-to-face with Dean Ambrose, and I'm going to be honest - as great as you are, as disturbingly poetic as I find you to be in almost every scenario face-to-face, I envisaged Seth Rollins coming out victorious."
After Seth scored some cheap heat by calling the legend a "dinosaur" with a "half-working brain", Foley rebuffed him with a swift correction.
"I think you missed out on the key word in that sentence," he murmured. "I said, 'In almost any scenario."
Pointing up at the Cell, he reminded The Traitor: "That's no ordinary scenario."

Foley then exploded: "A very wise man once said that which does not kill you makes you stronger.
"With all due respect to German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche - HE WAS NEVER THROWN OFF A CELL!
"He didn't realise that this match, whether you realise it or not, will go on to define you the same way it did me.
"I look at my life in two very distinct phases. Pre-Cell and post-Cell, and I'm not sure either one of you is prepared for the life that awaits you on the other side of that Cell.
"The two of you do, you get the match you've been waiting for your entire lives. Have a nice day."
WWE Jim Ross's best bouts: The Undertaker vs Mankind, The Rock and more
This Sunday (October 26) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, Dean Ambrose will seek to finally gain vengeance over the traitor Seth Rollins.
In a joint main-event, loser runner-up in the Lunatic Fringe's recent Contract on a Pole match John Cena will have his twelvetyieth PPV match against a resurgent Randy Orton.
So as a teaser, we got that same old handicap match of Dean Ambrose & John Cena against Badd Blood HIAC veteran Kane, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton.
The street fight got nasty as the Cell dropped down. There were finishers aplenty, and some major dissent in the Authority ranks after the 1-2-3.
Sunday night can't come quick enough.
