The clip was directed by Frank Borin, who has previously directed music videos for 5 Seconds of Summer and Angel Haze, and premiered on Vevo today (March 9).
The promo sees frontman Danny O'Donoghue singing while standing on a high wire which is suspended above a busy city street. Fellow band members Mark Sheehan and Glen Power are seen playing their instruments while sitting on a rooftop and standing on the side of a tall building.
The woman O'Donoghue is singing to is then shown to be trying to get to him, with the clip ending as she manages to walk along the wire to take his hand.
The track is the third official single to be taken from the Irish band's fourth studio album No Sound Without Silence , which was released in September 2014.
They have previously released 'Superheroes' and 'No Good in Goodbye' from the album.
'Man on a Wire' is due for release in the UK on iTunes on March 15.
O'Donoghue is soon set to write music with Ella Henderson.
