The former Dancing with the Stars contestant has been tapped to join presenter Tom Bergeron on the show, as a replacement for the recently-sacked Brooke Burke-Charvet.
Andrews has now told Access Hollywood that she has tremendous respect for her predecessor Burke-Charvet.
"Like I said to Brooke, 'If I can be half of what you are to these contestants, I'll be happy'," she explained.
The new co-host continued: "Every single one of these dancers that have been around her said she's just the kindest person and I just hope to be like that."
Andrews also said that she will be rooting for her former professional dancing partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who is teamed this season with Olympian Meryl Davis.
"[I'll] always, always [support Maks], but I'm not gonna lie to you - massive crush over here on miss leather pants, NeNe Leakes," she quipped.
Danica McKellar, Cody Simpson and Candace Cameron Bure are among the other celebrities competing.
Dancing with the Stars returns on March 17 on ABC.
