Former Static-X frontman Wayne Static has passed away.
His death was announced in an official statement on Saturday night (November 1).
The singer, real name Wayne Richard Wells, was 48.

Static-X formed in 1994. They released their debut album Wisconsin Death Trip in 1999 and went on to make five more albums.
Static, who was also known for his outlandish hairstyle, launched a solo career following the release of the band's 2009 album Cult of Static.
